Dianna Ullrich, a native of the Antelope
Valley, is serving in Kosovo with CAMA (Compassion and Mercy Associates)
Services. She has been working in the village of Kacanik, ministering to the
women there, most of whom are of Albanian descent, and many of whom have been widowed due to the war. Dianna
is living in Gjilan, working at a multi purpose community center called the
Resurrection Center where she is introducing the field of Occupational Therapy
in to the Balkan region. She is setting up an OT training program for nationals.
She is also teaching English courses and working with the local evangelical
believers.
Kosovo is a
province of what was Yugoslavia in the Balkan states mostly inhabited by Kosovar
Albanian people. The province is shared with a small population of Kosovar Serbs
and Kosovar Roma people. It is currently under United Nations and NATO
protection. Our prayers are that God will bring a permanent stability to this
small nation and that all will live, work and play together, as they once had in
harmony.
